The KET Foundation continues its mission of supporting rural communities.
After several projects with the residents of villages in the Artik District, we have built warm and friendly ties.
Based on our conversations, we considered it appropriate at this stage to support the current household needs of the village’s residents. At this time of year, especially in rural areas, people are actively preparing home preserves for the winter—jams, dried fruit, and canned vegetables from their own gardens. This is traditionally an important part of subsistence for rural families during the winter months and, of course, has a positive effect on their household budgets. However, it also requires significant expenses.
Understanding the financial burden faced by the residents, the Foundation implemented its next charitable project, under which 100 families received essential supplies as a gift: each family received 50 kg of granulated sugar and 5 liters of vegetable oil.
These products will be a valuable support to help all these families fully provide themselves with the necessary preserves for the winter period.
Approximately AMD 2.1 million was spent on the project.
The project was implemented in the village of Harich in the Artik District.
To ensure a fair selection of the 100 most vulnerable families, village activists formed a commission of 10 residents, headed by the head of the local administration. Thanks to this, the project became not only targeted assistance, but also a common cause in which residents showed solidarity and care for their fellow villagers.
As a result, the project involved the head of Harich village, the commission members, volunteer helpers and drivers (providing delivery to elderly and single residents), and, of course, representatives of our Foundation.
Another step toward kindness, another opportunity to make people’s lives easier and warmer together. The Foundation thanks everyone who supported the initiative and contributed to easing the social burden on rural residents during this important period.
